I wanted to become an attorney because I could help people resolve their legal issues compassionately and effectively. I had personally witnessed a very contentious family business dispute result in years of protracted litigation that was emotional, time consuming and a complete waste of money. There was no need for such a squandering of time and resources. From that point forward, I vowed to assist clients to resolve their legal issues as expeditiously and compassionately as possible.
My ideal client is person who presents me with their legal (and often other) issues/concerns and requests my assistance in resolving them. He/she will ask questions and I will provide the best answers to those questions that I can. Sometimes the answers aren’t black/white or yes/no. It is important for clients to feel that they are part of the decision making process and they must be informed about the status of the law and a particular Judge or Magistrate’s tendencies. My ideal client will also honor his/her obligations under our engagement agreement.
I enjoy spending time with my family (my nephews in particular) and my Great Danes (Crosby & Maximus). I also am an avid ice hockey player (goalie) and try to skate at least three times per week to stay in shape. I also enjoy playing golf, fishing, Indiana Hoosier basketball and Ohio State football.
On of the most enjoyable parts of my practice is my pro bono work. Over the past several years, I have volunteered my time assisting low income families at the Andrews House in Delaware County, the Jewish Family Services Legal Clinic and the YWCA Family Center.

I am an OSBA certified family law specialist serving the needs of families throughout Ohio. I specialize in family law and my practice areas include divorce, dissolution, child custody, GLBT issues, child and spousal support, contempt, grandparent rights, pre-marital/nuptial agreements, and post-decree matters. I provide compassionate, high quality and cost-effective representation to my clients. I am a problem solver. In almost all cases, the goal is to resolve the case by agreement as efficiently as possible. Unfortunately, some cases do not lend themselves to being resolved by agreement. In those cases I provide aggressive advocacy in Court. Each client’s case is different. Each client’s family and circumstances are unique. I’m honored to work with both traditional and non-traditional families and truly enjoy resolving complex financial issues.

I generally do not offer a fixed-price rate. However, I will discuss fee and payment options at the initial consultation.
