Why did you become an attorney?

I decided to go to law school when I realized that most "regular" people were taken advantage of - either by salesmen, employers, or in a contract - due to not understanding the legal aspects of a contract or situation. I decided to become an attorney so that I would be able to help equalize the playing field and represent everyday working people.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?

I worked in a wide variety of fields prior to going to law school, which helps me to relate to most people who come into my office. I have been a bartender, a waitress, worked in construction, and landscaping. I also owned and helped train racehorses. All of this experience prior to the practice of law gives me insight into the perspective of people working in a wide variety of occupations - and their financial challenges.

What makes your law firm unique?

I look at the attorney/client relationship as an equal partnership, and work with my client to solve a problem.

Describe your personal interest and hobbies.

I love to play sports, and stay busy year round. I golf most of the year. I also began curling 7 years ago with the Columbus Curling Club, and curl in bonspiels (tournaments) as much as possible. I am also an avid bowler and participate in the Women's National Tournament each year with a group of friends.

Describe your charitable activities.

I donate time representing the Columbus Curling Club on the board of the Great Lakes Curling Association, and I serve as legal counsel to the Central Ohio Bowling Association.
